Erratic in the snow #29

Trying for mood, toned it down a bit, a different light than the others. I liked working the small warm color contrast in, made those colors important! 22" x 28" acrylic latex on illustration board.

waiting for a make over

This is a "practice" painting for the quick draw in Billings at the Yellowstone in March. One hour, 24 x 36 gallery canvas, acrylic latex, ready , set, go! I will not be doing this subject, but one like it. Drying time was an issue, will have to use a hair dryer I believe. Oh, this one will hang in the "babies room" (the garage where the '65 bug lives)

Erratic in the snow #27

those of you who know Thompson Falls, might know that this series is being painted of the Mule Pasture a fitness recreation area north of town. Certain times of day, weather, or year can change the look completely. I walk there often. Acrylic latex on illustration board 22" x 28"

Deeper and darker into the woods, things die and fall down creating a pattern on the forest floor. Dried grasses and rocks are the only warm spot. Acrylic latex on illustration board 22" x 28"

Erratic in the snow #1

Erratics are bolders left by glaciers across the landscape. Snow changes everything, and I enjoyed not working with a horizon line. Acrylic latex on illustration board 22" x 28"
